  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #6 - We are crazy talkers here! Join in the fun!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

SAF is so much easier to type  ;D

What a cute addition! But would have been annoyed too for not being consulted...
I think he thought he could get away with it as he baked me some cakes the day before.  ::) ::)

If we were back in our own home it wouldn't bother me so much as I love animals, it's just we're in a rented house at the moment and we lied to the landlord saying we only had 1 dog and 1 cat which they were kinda okay with as long as they don't wreck the place.
But now we've got:
5 dogs, 4 cats, 3 rabbits, 2 hamsters, a tank full of several different types of fish and 2 goats.Totally got me as well hun. I'm still sniffling over it.  ^-^
How's the little man hun?  :) :)Lol, I prefer not to talk/think about her TBH. Anyway, enough said about her  :D :D :D

Thanks hun, he maybe a cutie but put him and Heisenberg together and he is a handful (Our 8 month Old Husky X)
:iagree: :iagree: :iagree: I love that on here we don't have any drama :) :)

He's going good, thanks for asking. He's a mover and strong little guy, scares the bejezus out of me. He's been rolling over since he was 2 weeks old, especially when he's sleeping.
CJ last night

Loopy, how are your little ones doing?

OMG, he's gorgeous hun.  :-* :-*
Mine are fine - can't believe Saxon is going to be 2yrs old next month and Dior is already 4 1/2 months olds though.
The time has really flown by.   :( :) :)
Dior wiggles around a lot and Saxon thinks it's fun to try and pick her up and see if she can walk, especially if no-ones looking.  ::) ::)

Is Saxon starting the terrible 2's yet? I can't believe Dior is 4 1/2 months already! At least he likes her right? Mini loves CJ she tries to get him out of the pack and play or take him from me or the husband. Silly kid  :D

Its odd, it must be a new phenomena because I went to visit my girl-friend and her 2 week old last week; this baby was lifting her head and using her legs to push away from me while I was holding her...If memory serves at two weeks old babies usually just lie there and look constipated, don't they? Sofia (the baby) was so active I was scared  :o

Recommendations needed PLEASE!

Ugh!  I keep flouncing fic after fic and it is becoming so depressing. Seriously, I think I've started and stopped at least 25 in the last two days.  I will take ANY recommendations that fit these categories:

Sweetish Bella (I don't like when she is too snarky).  I tend to like her a bit shy and awkward.  Similar to the book, but I will take a little backbone, just not too much.  :)
No BSDM
A little or a lot of angst
A slow burn...some really good, UST, I just LOVE when you want them together so bad it hurts.

Otherwise I'm open to pretty much any type of Edward.

PLEASE PLEASE tell me you have something.

Some of my favorite fics (in case this helps understand what I like/don't like):
The Wedding Party by spanglemaker9
Faking It by spanglemaker9
A Quiet Fire by magnolia822
Help Wanted by Jaxon22

When mini was a newborn (2 1/2 years ago) she was very strong and held up her head from day 1 so I was used to that. But with CJ he held up his head from day 1 also but he's doing the same thing as your friends baby and almost tries to roll over in your arms  :o it scared me until I got used to it. But most babies around that age I remember just laying there like you said.

That's adorable, at least she wants to help.  :)
Dior is looking more like my eldest daughter when she was a baby and that weirds me out slightly as she was the spitting image of her Dad (my ex)  :o :o
Saxon loves her and she's "his" and no-one else's, if someone wants to pick her up he's been known to throw a right tantrum and start shouting "No, Eeyore mine" and he has thrown in the odd "Bitch!" as well.  ^-^ ^-^
But at least he loves her, I suppose.

Your friends baby is doing the normal things a 2 week old does, but of course this varies.
I know with my eldest she was she was lifting her head and pushing with her legs from about 10 days old and she's still doing that at almost 16 (oh god, I feel old) !!  :D :D
Where as Saxon was a bit on the lazy side and didn't start doing anything like that until he was nearly 4 months, Dior takes after my daughter as she would lift her head up for a good 30 seconds from about a week old and the Dr's told me she would be behind as she was preemie.
I think it just depends on the baby.  :)
