Sooooooooooooooooo want to help with a fic people are saying maybe a plagiarized or repost of an older fic maybe 4 years back? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Loginits probably a pulled fic but people are swearing they read it before maybe someone here knows.
I checked Sylvia Day's website and all it says about the book series is that Lionsgate is developing it. You can sign up for her newsletter for any further information. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Recommendations needed PLEASE!Ugh! I keep flouncing fic after fic and it is becoming so depressing. Seriously, I think I've started and stopped at least 25 in the last two days. I will take ANY recommendations that fit these categories:Sweetish Bella (I don't like when she is too snarky). I tend to like her a bit shy and awkward. Similar to the book, but I will take a little backbone, just not too much. No BSDMA little or a lot of angstA slow burn...some really good, UST, I just LOVE when you want them together so bad it hurts.Otherwise I'm open to pretty much any type of Edward. PLEASE PLEASE tell me you have something. Some of my favorite fics (in case this helps understand what I like/don't like):The Wedding Party by spanglemaker9Faking It by spanglemaker9A Quiet Fire by magnolia822Help Wanted by Jaxon22
My biggest problem with EE's stories is that Bella always has blue eyes. So to me, she is not Bella. She doesn't mention the eye color much so I can ignore it.
I completely agree, I have a feeling she is describing herself and living vicariously through her stories. If she mentions the eye color often - I flounce. I try to ignore it otherwise.
Perhaps she is not aware she is doing it. One author I really enjoy can use the words soft or softly sometimes over 20 times in a chapter (I once counted 26). It was really getting on my nerves, so when reviewing I asked her if she was aware that she was over using those words and guess what, she had not realised. She still uses them but not as much. If you are polite I see nothing wrong in pointing something like that out. It is then up to the author to take it on board or not.
She said in her AN she likes blue eyes. I was just happy she left Edward's eyes green - she has made his eyes blue also in one story. To me, it's not fan fiction if you change the descriptions too much. I mean Bella can dye her hair blonde. But it should be dyed and not natural.
I totally agree - if you are writing fan fiction than the characters' features that wouldn't be changeable in real life should be the same.
The only problem is, do you give Edward green or topaz eyes? Because really, his eyes are described as topaz, butterscotch, or black in the canon version.
I've thought about that too, but I think somewhere in the books Edward mentions that Carlisle said his human eyes were green. I guess that is where the green in fan Fic comes from.
I pointed it out to her once nicely and she said that is how she sees Bella, I am sticking to my belief of she wants to be Bella. As I said before, if she only mentions it once or twice I can ignore it, but if a big deal is made about Bella's blue eyes - I flounce. I think since I mentioned it to her (and I am sure I am not alone) it is brought up less. She could easily not mention it at all and everyone could imagine what they want. She's a good writer so I try very hard to ignore the eye color.
Not sure if we consider this concrete, but the following says green eyes for Edward. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
I haven't read Puddle Jumping yet. I like FAP, but I think Eight Days a week is better. I always thought FAP was a little rushed. You need to push The Wedding Party up higher on your TBR list. It's high on my list of favorites.
You should definitely read Puddle Jumping ASAP! It was really really good... I need to download Eight Days a Week and get it on my kindle!
Another source says that Carlisle tells Bella Edward's human eyes were green when he is stitching her arm in New Moon. I don't have my book handy to check, but that sounds right to me.
