I said it before and I'll say it again, I thought the This Man trilogy was garbage.  Jesse wasn't sexy and dominant.  He was lying, manipulative and abusive.  The heroine was a total doormat.  I thought she and her friends should call the police when Jesse came around. The SPaG errors in the books were frequent and distracting.  I can't believe the buzz and accolades these books have received.  Every time complimentary remarks are made about this series it pisses me off all over again.

I feel like this about the Driven series...what a piece of  So formulaic it was a joke, there wasn't an original sentence/thought in that whole pile of crap. IMO

While I liked The Driven Trilogy I love your use of shit emoticon (makes me laugh everytime).

LOL This one was definitely formulaic!  But, with that being said, I like this formula if they can mix it up a little.   I thought this one was a little more unique than some of the others that I've read in the past...   i.e. he was a race car driver (LOL) and there was the whole foster kids angle.    Did you guys watch Rush?  It reminded me a lot of what Colton would be like!

I've been binging over Game of Thrones... have you watched any of those yet?  We flew through the first season and are 4 episodes into the second season now.  I still haven't seen Mad Men or Breaking Bad!

I know the writing was not the best but LOVED 50SoG  I like it much better than tarasueme's trilogy. I loved the characters, the story, it made me feel . Lots of romance/swoon factors that floated my boat.

Like you, it's what brought me to fanfiction. 

Am eagerly awaiting the movie! 

   Yes, the writing was definitely not great...   I had just finished reading Outlander when I read 50 and the difference in the writing was so noticeable.   Speaking of Outlander I just may have to subscribe to Starz in August so I can watch this one!      Booked, I'm glad I'm not the only one that liked 50 better than The submissive series...  I agree, a lot more swoony stuff!

I loved these and was so pleased when I heard that Leah Raeder was offered a publishing contract and I would read the Yellow Pages if Tarryn Fisher wrote them.

I realized I've never read the Angel series by drotuno, so I thought I might give them a go even though I'm not really a big Vampward fan as I prefer my fics AH.

I didn't realize she was offered a contract.  This book really is a hidden gem!   Did you read Mud Vein yet?  Is it a standalone?   I really need to read that one ASAP.  I love her writing!

Oh my gosh thank you saying this! I thought I was the only one that didn't like the This Man trilogy.   I think I gave it like 2 stars and I rarely ever score a book that low.    I could never figure out what people liked about it.   I read the second book hoping it was going to get better but it was a disappointment.

I'm glad we're finally making some progress.  You must have liked what you felt if you're determined to make it to third base next time!  We still want deets!  Remember, some of us are living vicariously through you.

I can't remember much from this story line. I believe it takes place in Texas.

There's only a couple of parts of the story I remember vividly:
It's towards the end:
Bella and Edward went on a double date with Jasper and Alice I believe. I misunderstanding happens about the hotel room and I think Bella paid for her room or asked Edward to pay for his. His pretty much stops talking to her. Her co-workers talk her into going to his apartment that's 2 hours away. She gets there and knocks on the day. He opens it shirtless, I think he working out. He shut the door in her face. It started raining and she headed to her car. Drooped her keys and that's how Edward found her, on the ground searching under her car for keys. He takes her back up to his apartment and they make love (I'm not going to lie, I just giggled a little writing that!)

The epilogue has them camping with her family. I think her family owns a ranch. They have a daughter and maybe a son, and Bella is pregnant again.

Any help would be appreciated! Also, I think it was based off the authors life but she didn't end up with the guy. I know I have a couple of stories by this author that I love but I just can't think of the name!
