  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #6 - We are crazy talkers here! Join in the fun!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

Milking the "money-cow"...

But is there anyone left to milking, aren't SM original target audience now too old to be fooled? Or is that just my wishful thinking?

Milking the "money-cow"...

Amen....I know I won't be able to help myself..I'll prob.buy it...lol

Those old tv shows brought some good memories. I watched quite of the older ones with my dad. He is gone now, and remembering watching those shows brought out the warm and fuzzy......Ty.
I never watched some of the popular ones for some reason, 90210, Mel. Place, Dawson's Creek or even friends.
My fave was Seinfeld and from way back I liked the Partridge family.
Have a good w/e everyone. I will be working......mingling with those awesome Xmas shoppers...lol

Yes - definitely like the new pics  tricklem - one more so  than the other.   Regarding the re-release of the dvds with added footage:  easy enough to ignore from this section of the universe - doesn't fit into the budget - will however appeal to the collectors who pick up everything in sight and to new fans of Twilight.   And yes there would be new fans coming in all the time although not in the numbers that they used to show up.  It stands to reason that there would be new fans - if Star Trek and other fandoms are still gaining new people, it would stand to reason that Twilight would too.  Oh god another oldie but goodie - the Partridge Family.

I was originally only going to put up one pic, but I liked them both and couldn't decide which one l liked better, so both got posted. Curious, which one is your fav?  >:D

The colored one - it would make an awesome refrigerator magnet (right smack dab in the middle of the refrigerator door) and gross out everyone I know who hates Rob - but that's their problem.

Finally decided on reading Wait For You by J. Lynn (Armentrout).   I wasn't thrilled with it at first but it's getting better at the halfway mark.    I just noticed that there are way more books in this series... like maybe 5?  Have you guys read this?  Is it a cliffhanger?  I usually try to wait until a series is finished!

Interestingly a number of my 'friends' on Goodreads have given this book a 4-5* I've not read it nor is it on my TBR, should it be?

I would never suggest you are dearest. But somehow I don't think you were SM intended target audience, unless you were 13-15 when Twilight came out?  :o  :D

Not like I'm gonna buy the new editions but really hope this doesn't turn into the whole Star Wars thing where every so many years George Lucas decides to release a "new" edition of the saga.  ::) ::)

I FLOVE your new sigs hun.  :-* :-*

It is so weird/unbelievable to think that it's been almost 10 years since Twilight was published and almost 7 since Breaking Dawn!  What the hell is SM doing with her time? Cos she sure isn't publishing books...But actually when I think of it, if I'd made as much money as her I'd sit on my arse and enjoy it too.  :P

I have to say, that since I didn't by the last release of the set with all of the extras, I will probably pick up the new ones coming in January. Of course it will be just whenever I have the cash to do so. I am in big hurry that is for sure.

Actually, I will probably wait and see if they make changes to BD1&2 and repackage it yet again and then buy it. I am not going to keep buying all of these releases. That is just ridiculous.

If SM was smart, she would finish and release Edwards POV of Twilight. That would probably breath a bit of new life into the franchise.
