Mine too. But Twilight was my favorite of the movies. It seemed closest to the book.

Though I do like the fight between Rob and Victoria. Which then makes me remember when they got an award for the fight scene and Dallas apologized for making him have to bite off her head  and he says yes and now you're pregnant like it had something to do with the fight. LOL!  His comments always made me laugh. I don't think they ever came out the way he wanted them to.   :D :D :D

The Eclipse book is my favorite.  I think the Eclipse movie would be my favorite if they hadn't screwed up the end.  SM must have changed her thinking somewhere along the line to allow Bella's ending speech.  In the book, it was all about Edward, in the movie she expressly states that it's NOT all about Edward.  They started BD Pt 1 the same way.  In the books, it says how Bella could never pull away from him, but that's exactly what she does at the beginning of BD Pt 1.  I think the first two movies were pretty close to the books, but then they decided to make Bella more independent, which she didn't accomplish in the books until she was pregnant.

I watched the first episode and now last week's and yes simply because a friend of mine mentioned that someone on X Factor performed my go-to-song of the moment (love that Bruno Mars song, if it comes on while I'm outside I practically dance down the street!) so I wanted to see wassup...

Your 'laryngitis' comment made me snort!  :D :D :D :D

As my mother would say, 'you can depend on a man as far as his dick stretches.' As in they are lead by their dicks....Though I think she used the word 'winkle'  :D :D
Isn't that nearly everyone's excuse when they get kicked of off X Factor!?!  :D :D

OMG, I love your Mum, that made me laugh so loud and hard that I woke the hubby up. I suppose I better make use of him now he's awake.  :P :P

You know what, I NEVER thought I'd say this but I'm now actually looking forward to the FSOG movie, and its all because of Loopy's Jamie Dornan signature....How is The Fall getting on? I'm waiting til the season is done and then watching it all at once.

New Moon is my favorite book! I totally connected to it, and when the movie came out I was floored, ugh!! The window scene with the months passing, I DIED! [emoji7] [emoji7] [emoji7]

BD2 also was so great! I saw the whole saga in a marathon at the theater (with a girlfriend I met camping out at Comic Con in the Twilight camping line [emoji12]). All the fans were basically camping out all day in the theater with pillows, blankets, food.. *hahaha.. Watching all the movies with other devoted fans was so much fun! The battle scene in particular... I *screamed* out loud.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! CARLISLE!!!! *hahahaha...

Ended up seeing BD2 nine times [emoji13]  I was laid off from work right before its release, sooo.. that was handy [emoji6]

Loop just watched last week's X factor (I've now seen 2 whole episodes! And its the finals next week, wow! :D :D) that Fleur East is bloody talented! What happened to RP sister?
My hubs and i have watched the UK X factor religiously  ;) Been late for  our sunday lunches with my mom because we wait for it to finish at around 12:30pm before heading out. Glad when the no. of contestants went down so it ended at 12:05 and we weren't that late for lunch anymore  :P love the show format and the production numbers, way better than American Idol.

Lizzie Pattinson was really weak compared to the others. Part of me was hoping she would make it, in support of Rob  ;D But nah, she was really not that good to win this.

The top 3 are all great and so different. Am rooting for Fleur East or that hunky Ben Haenow. But my fervent wish for all 3 is that they still get a recording contract. They're all really good! Fleur is the total package though, can sing, dance and even do rap, a real talented star.

We did karaoke for our department's christmas party last monday. Turned it into a contest with prize money.  There was the individual and group category. Aside from the karaoke score, you will also be judged for choreography and audience impact. Only 1 of us out of the 20 can really sing so he was of course banned from joining and just judged  ;D There were 5 brave souls who joined the individual competition, including me. Hey, money is money!  Forget respect and decorum, we were outside the office anyway.  :D Then all of us had to form at least 4 groups. I formed a trio with 2 guys. Just like Stevie Ritchie in the X factor, doesn't matter if you can't sing well, but if you had the moves and captured the audience, they'll keep you on. So yes, i tied for 1st place for the individuals and that guy was my group partner as well and we won that category too! Yep, he and i were so happy to be the big winners.  :)  But man, singing while dancing is sooo hard. I ran out of breath towards  the last part of my numbers and just winged it by making them laugh with my awkward but definitely funny moves. So Fleur East is truly talented to sing and dance so well.

And as Simon said, song choice is critical. so while our competition did ballads to showcase their singing, the other guy and i chose upbeat, danceable songs. His choice was "Sweet Love of Mine". I sang "You Give Love A Bad Name". This was in HIMYM Barney's Get Psyched Mix so i figured that would get them stoked  :) :D :D

  • Life is all about balance.
I have to say that I liked all the books and I felt that they were way better than the movies, but no shock there. With BD (the book) I was very disappointed with the fade to black for the honeymoon portion. I wish they would have released an 18+ version of both the movies and the books and a version for the younger generation.

I did like the books better than the movies. I liked the Twilight movie the best. This is one of those rare cases i watched the movie first then read the book. But after watching, then reading Twilight, i got hooked. To this day, when i mention Rob or twilight to my family (for some reason or another), they ask me "you haven't gotten over that phase?". I don't think i ever will because it gives me such a good, happy feeling.  :)

Me too. I watched the movie first then discovered the books.  My family is used to my Twilight obsession and they all know that I read fanfiction online.  I love loosing myself in a fanfiction story.

Thankfully I read FSOG before I knew it had anything to do with Twilight or fan fiction so I never had any one person in mind as Christian Grey..... so Jamie works for me, sexy with that slight touch of menace. I don't actually think the book will translate particularly well as a film and it's likely to be 80% crap but Jamie as Grey will make up the other 20%

The only ways I'd pay to watch it is if someone else bought a ticket for me or Jamie had kept the beard.  :D :D

You won't have long to wait hun as it finishes next week and I swear this season has been better than the 1st.

I'm gonna be an emotional wreck next Thursday when it finishes as you can feel that the end is nigh.   :D :D

But I'm really biased about TF, so much so that I end up having the same semi "argument" with the hubby every week about why I root for Paul (Jamie's Character) and the "argument" always ends up with me promise to visit the hubby in prison but only cos I like the idea of conjugal visits.  ??? ??? :D :D

I read MOTU when it was a WIP so when I got around to watching Twilight I nearly pissed myself laughing as I couldn't stop imagining Rob and Kristen as that Bella and Edward, I just had images of them in the playroom (try explaining that to a cinema full of tween/teens  :D :D).  ;) ;)
Now I don't picture either of them as Christian or Ana, though I think Rob's Dior elevator scene is hotter than Jamie and Dakota's.  ;D

Though tbh I think Drive kind of set the bar (for me) when it comes to elevator kisses - I just love Driver and Irene in that scene, it's lovely and intense.

I'm not paying to see it - no matter how many clips I see - there is absolutely no chemistry between these two.  I rather stick to my own imagination of them from when I read MOTU.  Didn't have any interest in FSoG, maybe if I hadn't read it as a fanfic, but especially not after the ENDLESS Fifty Shades references.  I'm just sick of the whole idea and will be glad when it is over.
