Had to attend a formal shindig tonight, long gown and make-up required Since the only make up i own is chapstick and some tubes of lipstick given to me over the years (still unused), had to go to a salon to have my make-up and hair done. Good thing this rarely happens or i will just conveniently get sick and not attend (which i have done for weddings of a few cousins ) But can i just say getting the make-up off is such a bitch! Washed my face, put on my newly bought make up remover and used what seems like all the cotton balls produced in Louisiana, washed my face again and still i can feel some on my face and eyes. How women can do this on a daily basis amazes me. I dread the day, soon, i will need to do this daily as my advanced age is showing and my face is slowly being leeched of color. Who the f*ck invented make-up? Why can't we just go au naturelle even when we're old and gray? *end of rant*

We had an awesome low key Christmas! Can't believe it's over so quickly. Now, before I know it Christmas will be here again! Time really does seem to go by faster as I age!I just finished reading Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers and I really liked it. I had seen it recommended many times when searching for books that can live up to the "epic-ness" that is, The Bronze Horseman. I had put off reading it because it is classified as Christian Romance or some genre like that. I'm a Christian, but figured the genre might be dull to say the least. Turns out a few of my friends IRL that read the same books I do had also read this and agreed that it was good so I decided to give it a try. I don't think it was anywhere near The Bronze Horseman on the epic scale but it was a nice love story and I'm glad I read it. There were some strange parts that were a little too "religious" for me, but for the most part the book wasn't like that. It was only angsty in spots, but most of it was just simple and sweet. I thought the ending was wonderful and though there was a bit of repetition in the middle with something that kept happening the end really wrapped things up nicely. After reading this I was thinking back to why I floooooved the Bronze Horseman so much and I think it was the level of angst. I don't think I'll ever find another book that can take me as low as TBH did and then drag me through the pit of despair only to pull me back up again in the most loving moments to tie it all into an amazing read! Well, now that I type that out, I guess there is one that got kind of close... LOL and his name starts with a "D". ;-)

Just read the summary of Redeeming Love and I have to tell you, all the capitalised Fathers, Hes and Ones scare me pooless... Am I to take it that regardless of the heroine's profession there are no lemons or even lemonade?
I love the Costco brand cosmetic wipes to get off makeup. Gets all but the most heavy of mascara off. And that's usually because I'm tired. One wipe. Done. Other companies make them. I just get the Costco because they are cheap compared to the others. My mom has gone natural most of her life. And she is 87 now. She looks good for her age.
I love make up Another obsession... The best makeup remover is Ponds Cold Cream... It can get anything off!
Oh! Booked, I'm with you, lady! When I was single I used to judge dates/men on whether or not they were worth the effort of having to eventually take off my mascara.....I only ever wear make-up on 'special occasions' I've found oil based cleansers work best, this: You are not allowed to view links. Finished Rebel Without A Cause and I'm not sure if it the fact that I've not read a twific for months or if it the sheer audaciousness of this story/author but I really enjoyed it! It'll never get read more than once but you could do worse....In fact, I'm sure we've all read much, much worse
Starting Beneath the burn in 5 4 3 2 1 ... now.
Does anyone know why Eye on the Prize is getting pulled again?
I just remembered why I stopped reading twifics.... I'm reading one were two 3 year old say things like "Sometimes you just know these things,""Goodness, it's simply adorable," "I want a brother. Or a puppy," Lucy decided loudly."I want a real baby sister," Tori said and Lucy shot her a look. I was cheered that Tori felt secure enough to oppose Lucy's choice."But if it's a sister, it will share one of the bedrooms with us and i don't want a crying baby in my room," our eldest announced.*sigh* I suppose it'd have been too much to read 3 good fic in a row....
I started Across the Lines by losttwisisters, I suppose it would be an alright read but I'm so bored of how much sex they're having now Bella's lost her virginity. Yes, you read that right I said I was bored with sex, the problem is that the chapters are no more than 4/5 pages (on an iPad) and there has been at least 3 sex scenes each chapter. [/b][/center]
They must be quickies!
Have you finished the third All Souls?
