You should be able to plug in the USB drive and on calibre, hit add books, point to the library. Hit the little arrow beside add books, and select the second option, and point to the main folder your library is in on the USB drive, and it should grab them all at once. Then walk away while it adds them all, as it takes a while. I got a new laptop, too, but I had all my libraries backed up to Dropbox, so it was fairly easy and painless. If you don't already have dropbox, the easiest way is to get some good, free, cloud storage, back it all up there, then import it. I think copy.com gives the most free space, AND works well with Calibre. Google Drive effs things up royally with Calibre.
If you haven't started yet, you can always copy one to your hard drive - copy the whole library as it. Then in Calibre go to the switch to/create new library thing, browse to wherever you put the new library, check the use existing library at this location and you are done. Then if you want to merge the two, do the add books from the second library. You may want to check the don't add duplicates. You may miss a couple that have the same name, but it usually doesn't bring in the same title/same author.

I've changed my hard drive a few times, so I've had a lot of experience with moving libraries. That and learning the hard way. I should be around. I'm off this week but have a lot of studying to do.

You are right, it's not for anyone but the most angsty of AngstHoors (of which Kim has finally graduated to being [emoji23]) And there at elements that will alert all kind of triggers so if you're a Fluffy then this is not the book for you....Pam Godwin doesn't take any prisoners [emoji23]

Yes. That's the easiest way in my opinion. Just make sure you copy the whole library folder. If you separate the files it may not be able to find them later.
I finally got around to reading it last week and I didn't find it that angsty. I think I've totally lost the ability to find anything angsty at the moment, as I've been reading a few other books that are meant to be pretty angsty and I think they're only mildy angst worthy. I miss my angst gene.
Have you read Keeping Promise Rock and Making Promises by Amy Lane? Amy almost always manages to hit my angst button!
