I'd really like to read a story where both Edward and Bella aren't rich, struggling to make ends meet but still live happily together. Not sure if there's a lot of stories with a similar plot like that but I'd appreciate it if you can help me

Well - if she's updated A Marriage Quest finally, I hope she remembers to update on Twilighted.   I'm going to have to reread the damned thing - its been so long that I've forgotten the story.

I am going to have to reread it too, but right now I am debating if I should just wait to see if she finishes it.  I have been burned by so many stories that are left unfinished...
 

I know what you mean. I have had so many stories that it is just getting really good and then the author says oh, hiatus. I gave up WIP because it is frustrating    and a total let down.

I usually wait until they get to the last regular chapter to start reading. Epilogues are great but not usually required to feel finished.  Otherwise, I limit new WIPs to authors who have a good rep of finishing stories. 

I'm so bad at remembering titles and all but there's at least one CaraNo story where B & E struggle to make ends meet. There's a lot where they are just middle class,  just getting by.  But mostly these are really angsty stories and not my cup of tea. 

I think you are thinking about Trash & Darlin's by Carano. Good story.

Loopy, I don't even know what to say about your pre-wedding escapades. Glad you didn't miss the wedding because you were sitting in a jail cell for public lewdness.  As for your husband's peen, I would think it's all shiny and smooth, as much time as you spend polishing it.

I can just see you and Ella working as fluffers!  I do wonder what your spouses would think of that career choice.  Maybe they'd be okay with it if you learned special tricks you could use at home.

If you are referring to His Cimmerian View by WeeKittyAndTAT  I have read this and thought it was good. It had a pretty good twist IMO. I ready CW&IA, and I enjoyed that but it was just so long that sometimes I wanted to jump ahead a few chapters. I haven't read the Quiet Storm series yet, but it is on my ever growing TBR list.

I finished HCV yesterday - it was alright but I really struggled through the last 1/4 as for me it was too sweet and fluffy between E&B and it seemed like Drama was just happening just so it could be stretched out. I actually skimmed a whole chapter where they got married as it was way too sweet for me.

I'm the worse at remembering titles...There's one that Edward gives up his scholarship when Bella get pregnant and Carlisle cuts him off...Plenty of struggle in that one.

Demaris, I definitely didn't flounce Cimmerian.  I haven't read it yet.  I am a non-flouncer.  Heck, I even finished Quiet Storm, which I did not like at all.  I finally, after an extended effort and many distractions, finished Clipped Wings & Inked Armor.  Which, I have to say, was better than Quiet Storm, but just soooo whiiiney.  But then, so was Quiet Storm, if I remember correctly.

Hhmmmm? I wonder who it was then? Is this the one were Edward is really misogynistic? I've not read it but I remember someone flouncing because they hated Edward mindset in regards to women....

Demaris - I'm glad you can see my point of view on My Ex-Con.  I liked Edward a lot more before I saw into his brain.  The latest pattyrose is better than My Ex-Con as long as you don't get all in a dither about Bella's ethnicity.  Angela is a treat in this one.

Hi not sure if this is the right place but ive been searching for days for a fic i cant find, i know its completed and published as ive had it before but can no longer find it, would someone be able to identify it for me please?!

Mafia Cullen family usual parings. Carlisle buys Bella from Charlie Swan she has spent her whole life as like a slave/house maid to his family. Esme is dead but in the story something is revealed she was killed by interfering with other peoples life by trying to save Bella as a child. Edward and Bella fall in love and he learns her to read. Bella is a maid to the family at first tidying and stuff and theres on chapter where Carlisle ties her legs as punishment for when she touches his stuff or something.

All the discussion or looking for recommendations is done here.  Because we talk too much.  Also because it is easier for FicFanGirl to do her marvelous tracking and updating of the Index above if the links and stories are all in the same place 

I totally agree, but I've been burned by authors with good reps too.  I sometimes read anyway and just hope for the best.

 

I feel just the same. But I do love the excitement of getting an email when a WIP has a new chapter.   Of course when it's a great story.  It's like watching a good show on TV and anxiously waiting for next week when the new episode is to air!!!
