Yeah! I loved that Story, just read it two weeks ago... I think I will have to look for the published Version, see what she did with it...

It's not that different, I asked the author if I could get a copy because I only found the first chapter on ff and I didn't know it was published so she told me it was available on amazon, and it was 99 cent ( the best dollar I've ever spent  :D )

So when I was reading in my mind I read Edward's and Bella's name, sound like too much work but it's not.  ;)

I have the fanfic on my very long TBR list.  I didn't realize he was a *p0rn star*  Hmm.  not sure how I feel about that.   There was another one like that wasnt' there?  But is wasn't funny maybe.  Although Smmiskimen has that one about the overworked, underpaid peen that I started once.  But I wasn't sure how I felt about reading from Edward's peen's POV LOL!

Yeah, it's a little weird... but what the hell, it's funny.

The last time I went to the movies for an grown up movie with real actors was The A-Team nearly three years ago. We never made it to the Cinema, not even to the Restaurant because my son decided he wanted to be Born...  :D

So, I'm really really uninformed about actors, new movies (unless they are animated or very pink)... ^-^

I just spend five minutes reading her tweets.. about how she and Rob did 'it' OMG her tweets are just stupid! And for me the dream still lives!!!

I don't believe a bi*** that asks for money because she is broke and RP is filthy rich.
What got me is that she thought people hated her for supposedly lying about the encounter.  I think most of the annoyance was at her "he's rich so he can give me money" attitude.  Like that would be okay.

I'm trying to read Progress: The Original Sleep Humper Love Story by 107yearoldvirgin... I got to their first date but I'm stuck. I just don't think it's funny. It's just ridiculous.
Does it get better? I think I don't get the writer's style...
I remember liking it.  I didn't really find it funny though.  Edward has a real problem which got him in trouble. Even though he was asleep. 

107yroldvirgin's writing is a little different.  I've loved some of her stories and haven't been able to read others.

OK, so I think I did it again. Just finished McGuire's Beautiful Disaster, which I really enjoyed, and searched for its fanfic to no avail. Please don't tell me this is a 'real' book that wasn't a fanfic. I had Bella and Edward in my mind the whole time. Any ideas?

I've read a fic called Beautiful Disaster but it was a Harry/Ginny fic. If I remember correctly it's pretty old and based on a song but I think it was short, maybe even a one shot, so I don't think that's it.

There's a few "Beautiful Disaster" stories out there, but they are not the same as the published book.  I know it was all over here at one point and also on Facebook.  Everyone was trying to find the original fanfiction because it does read like one.  But the author says no.  And the closest I've heard was that there may have been one chapter posted as a fanfiction before it was pulled and published.

I understand this, I went through several years of knowing only cartoons and kids films when mine where small.  Funnily enough we were talking about this the other day at work.  Some of us could quote the cartoons and films word for word, we had seen them so many times!  I rarely go to the cinema these days, only for something special I am really interested in.  The films come out really quickly on DVD these days, so it's easy to catch up.  I still prefer books like just about everyone else on here, so much better than the films they make from them. ;D

It is the same with the Jack Reacher books.  Fans were disgusted when Tom Cruise was cast as he is a polar opposite of the description of the character.  I don't know as I haven't read them but supposedly the author really wanted him for the part.

I've read all the Jack Reacher books and I can confirm Tom Cruise is the last man on earth I've had imagined as him. "Tall with arms like a gorilla" sounds like Cruise? I'm always disappointed when books I like are made into movies :(

107yroldvirgin's writing is a little different.  I've loved some of her stories and haven't been able to read others.

I loved Puddle Jumping. I read it as a WIP just because she updated everyday, but I just went crazy everything she updated, I'm not kidding I think I did a happy dance.

Because of the Peen POV ? I've attempted to read one where it alternated between Edward's and his Peen's POV... but I don't think it's that one, if I remember correctly it was a one shot or to shot.

I actually liked Jack Reacher, and I liked Tom cruise. Maybe because I haven't read the books and I have no idea how he is described.

So many topics have been discussed since my last visit.
1) KStew is an attractive girl, it's her behaviour and attitude that sucks. She cheated on Rob, who is undoubtably, the most divine man alive. That heifer is a definite thumbs down. Getting dressed up to go out changes your everyday appearance, nothing else.
2) The psychopathic biatch, who claimed to have slept with Rob and then asked for money appears to be truly an upstanding member of society someone who is believable and stands out as one to be trusted. Yeah.
Please, someone, buy this "thing" a clue.
3) Tom Cruise, sorry, can't say a bad thing about the guy.
4) Star Trek, love it. Chris Pine as Kiirk, JJ showed true genius. Also casting ZQ as Mr Spock another great call. Did not know that ZQ was gay.
5)Rob, doing the happy dance, Rob with the tongue action and Rob with the smokin' bedroom/dreamy eyes....these pics just make visiting this site so enjoyable. Loooooove me some Rob.

I was just thinking about something and thought I'd ask you all - at what point do you differentiate between canon and cliché? For example, Edward liking Bella in blue is canon, but people tend to think of it as being a fic cliché too.
