I started to read the imprint one. I think I was in the middle of something else or I flounced it because I don't remember reading past the first chapter.

I used to work at neighborhood beer bars when I was younger. (Only served beer & wine) We did the green beer - it was just green food coloring. I don't know about the green pee though. I never drank it

Is Just Say Yes by Lauren? It's a really cute story. I definitely enjoyed it. You don't need the second chapter to feel it's complete.

I'm pretty sure Matron was thinking of The Breakers by les16. It was a good story. I recommend it.

I knew it sounded familiar! I have it on my TBR and must have read that summary 100 times.

I do the same, but, I will read the first couple of chapters to get a feel for the story and the writing style. If I don't like it I flounce.

The number of reviews can be misleading. Sometimes, an author reposts a story and keeps the number of reviews from the first posting. In other cases some popular authors have fan clubs and the minions just review for the sake of it - in my opinion anyway.

I don't drink any kind of beer - yuck.

I read the summary, look at the author, if it's complete... then I read the first chapter and sometimes the last chapter and then I download it and keep it for later...

or I read it immediately when I really like it.

I never go by reviews!

I only look at reviews if I am trying to figure out if the fic is finished and just not marked complete. I watch a fic based on it's summary and feedback here, or on ADF or if it's mentioned in an author's note. Then I only start to read it when it is finished!

My family is all Irish so of course I went out in celebration of St.Patricks day, but I'm regretting that this morning. Someone save me

I re-read My Cowardly Lion the past few days (it's still up on FFn) and I was reminded of how much I love it. The only thing is I always end up skimming it and just reading the most important parts - in my mind it easily could have been half the length it is currently.

Oh, and as for picking a fic I'll either use a rec site (The Lemonade Stand/TwiFFrecs) or I'll pick one from an archive I know contains good stories. I mostly judge based on summary and skimming the first chapter or two.

We're all breaking the stereotype! I'm not actually a beer drinker, although I do like dark beers like Guinness, and there is nothing better than an icy cold beer on a stinking hot day when you've been working outside - although I usually only drink half a stubby and can't drink the rest.

I have a horrible feeling that "stubby" is an Aussie term, and you're all thinking I'm being pervy again! A stubby is a small beer bottle - about one standard drink. The ones in the front are stubbies:
