About the One Shot - I have never read anything but Edward/Bella, but this has me interested.    So, in this one, was she previously in love with Edward and then now married to Jacob?

It is kind of 40 years after New Moon but Edward didn't come back, so the Bella/Jacob romance wasn't interrupted... Cullens are vamps, Jake was a wolf, Bella is human...

I've seen a few. Usually where they write a one shot for a contest & it is well received.  Or people ask them to continue.  But not very often. 

As an Actorward fan I have to rec WWF and the EPOV Words With Strangers.  Start with WWF and at some point into the AN she will start posting WWS. Then I remember reading them together.  She posted WWS on Wednesday and WWF on Friday.  It was so great.  :)

That was back when I did WIP'S.  ;D

Yes, I've seen writers doingthat. But I doubt that this would happen with that OS. All is solved...

Okay, copy the author page URL, then select the "Get URLs from Selected Page"  Input the author page, hit individual stories and it gets them ALL! 

Going to try it with Favorites next!!!

Wow! last week I just learned from the ladies here that Epub was better for tablet. I spend the last few days trying to figure out how to do that. I have a Blackberry Playbook and it has no native app for that. Finally bought an app for $0.99 and it work fine.( book pages cut off funny but i am not picky).  It is better and easier to read in Epub on the tablet. thanks, ladies.
Now i learn that you can download all the work from an author with two clicks. Got to go download FFdownloader and figure out how to make it work . By the time i figure this out i am sure the ladies here would have new tech savvy thing for me to learn.

I love OS, while some leave you wanting more others leave you really satisfied.

And if you're in the mood for some romance, angst or something funny and don't want to read a long fic, OS are the way to go. ;)

and I really loved it!
I actually really loved this one too. It was slow in parts, but in a way it was nice to read a story without a ridiculous drama level.

 Glad you liked it!  My good friend is reading it right now as her first ever fanfic and she is loving it.   She didn't think she'd like fanfic and then I reminded her that 50 & GI/GR were fanfic and she loved those. :)

  I didn't read UoEM, just read GI/GR as a published book.  I was gaga crazy over it and him...   yes, pompous, but I still love him!  I am not usually into literature/poetry etc but I thought that aspect made this story even more beautiful.

I'll also mention that when I read it I didn't know it was originally twilight fanfic so I had him looking like Alcide from True Blood in my mind.   LOL

I'd like to know the same thing...   I read all sorts of reviews and couldn't pin down the differences between the fic and the book.  I guess I need to read the fic to figure it out myself.    My guess is that it is very similar.

I might be mistaken but from the description, it sounds like the third book goes further than the end of the fanfic.

The first two Gabriel books cover the fanfiction story with new names.  The third book is supposed to be entirely new content.
