Does anyone know if R.L. Mathewson used to be a fanfic writer?

I just finished reading A Humble Heart and it could easily have been a (not all that great) fic even down to SpaG errors.  Having said that, I had to finish it.

The craziest thing was the lead male was called Edward!

Sooo confused  :33: :pulling I somehow had 2 good reads accounts. One was logged in from my phone and the other my computer. I could not figure out why they did not have the same info. Well thank you good reads for letting me merge both accounts.

Do I want to start watching You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login?

It starts tonight on Aussie TV and the ads look great.

It has just been advertised as starting this weekend here and I don't know whether to bother or not.

I didn't watch it, but my friend did and said it was really good. I was planning on trying to catch up.

I haven't seen it mentioned. How was the book? I have the Pyte series, but haven't read them yet.

It wasn't great if I'm being honest.  I usually love Actorward type stories but, this one fell flat.  It was in desperate need of editing and the characters middle names kept changing!

I am going to try the neighbours from hell series though, as I think this author is much better than this story.

EDIT - I flounced.

How did you like Salacious? Worth it?
It took me a few chapters to get into and what I liked about it was it took about 300 pages (on an iPad) before they said they loved each other.
I would definitely recommend it.

You are NOT kidding!  It was crazy hot.   I was just trying to see if I could find a copy of that chapter so that I could post a link and what I found was even better.   Colleen Hoover posted that "first kiss" chapter from Holder's POV on her blog.    Ahhhhh.  I didn't read it all because I'm waiting for the book, but oh my!   I think that chapter was one of my top 10 chapters of all time. LOL      For those of you that haven't read it, the chapters are dates, so this chapter was called September 1st, I think.
I read that POV of the kiss, just after I first read Hopeless and prefered Holders POV of it - another reason why I can't wait for Losing Hope.
Who would of thought not being kissed could be so goddamn sexy.  :D

I hate it when authors try too hard to be funny - for me it just doesn't work.  Maybe it would have got better but, I found it ridiculous - I got about 6 chapters in and couldn't take any-more.  The shy wallflower did a complete 180 in about two minutes and became a confident sexy vixen.    ???

Also, the story needed editing in my opinion.

Just finished Ciaobella27's Living Backwards. It was sweet. It took me a little bit to get into it, but then I couldn't stop. Bella time travels back to high school and does a major do-over. It was realized quite well I thought.

The amount of SPaG mistakes in that summary is enough to make my eye twitch, so reading it might send me into full on cardiac arrest.

Somebody please tell me I am not going out of my mind.

I am reading Seduction and Snacks by TJ (Tara) Sivec and know I have read it before as a fic.

Every single book I have read in the past fortnight has had twific written all over it!

I guess I really am a twific addict - I'd better stick to what I know huh?

Catching up on all the lovely words you ladies left here over the weekend. Off to update my TBR list with some of your great rec's - and some of them are just reminders of stories I have read and want to go back and read.

And

I agree about Slammed... such a great series!  I just read the 3rd book that was Will's POV.   Not a lot of new content, but such a nice read! I had forgotten how much I loved Slammed.

Are you sure you want me to spoil Hopeless?   This book is intense and yes, covers a dark topic.     You really could go ahead and read it now because its completely wrapped up with Book 1.     The second book (Losing Hope) is mainly going to be Holder telling a similar story, I think, but more from his POV.     So, HEA or no-HEA?    Ask one more time and then I (or someone else) can spoil it for you in spoiler quotes.  ;-)

Tease!!  :D Sent you a PM.  :)

given the style of writing of Hoover, I think I would be willing to read Hopeless despite the warning of a dark theme.

BTW, i finished Just Like The Movies last night...don't rush to read it. it was just...just...ok...you know? Though it was a short read at 134 pages, i expected a better development of the characters... Edward here is like me the past few days with PMS, short tempered... ;D Then after a completely lemon free 130 pages, she ends the story with one.

The one shot Major Hottie and the Speech Girl rec'd here before evoked more emotions in me with less than 40 pages. This one you should all read, pronto.  :)
