I thought ours had died the other day & there are hours of stuff I haven't watched yet. Fortunately, I was able to reset it.  I'm trying to figure out how to get at the video and save it to another hard drive, but it doesn't seem like I can without opening it up.  Not sure if Verizon will like that LOL! :banghead:

Hubby thought it would be easy to do that too.  It should have something like cloud so you don't lose everything every time.

I am 5'5, pretty average.

Has anyone here picked up the pubbed version of The Office (Beautiful Bastard) yet?

So far, what I've heard from folks who have read both is that BB waters it down a log. I've never read The Office, is it worth spending my time on? What's it even about?

I might have stumbled across a PDF copy.  ;D

Tin cans will do just as well; and I revise my advise of doing it at night, I think Astro is right do it in the morning as then your muscles continue to work during the day and don't get as stiff as if you did it at night and went straight to bed...Oh, phuck it! I doubt there is any perfect time to do 30DS it'll hurt when ever... :P

By the time I had got in from work, sorted out the little people and finally sat down the last thing I wanted to do was exercise!

I will definitely give it a go though, although I will probably have to warm up a lot longer as I have back and neck issues from falling down the stairs a few years ago.  It won't stop me doing it but, one wrong move and I can't walk for a week.  That's why I have never done one of these before.

Am at a talk where we all schmooze and I feel like a flipping giant! Mostly women here, all under 5"4 or so. Seems to be the case in fanfic too - apart from Rosalie - now I'm thinking I'm just a beanstalk. Quick question - how tall is are you all?

5" 6 I swear I used to be taller 10 years ago! My 14 yo son is now taller than me and he just lovvves to put his arms around my shoulders to look down at me lol.

You're not alone....mine are tiny. The only time they weren't was when I was pregnant with my kiddos (but I couldn't tell at the time because my stomach was huge)....but then they deflated within a week after delivery  >:(

Yay! A bosom buddy (pun totally intended  :D). I'm an 6 or 8 B/C cup, so 30/32 B/C depending on the brand. Expansion via sprogs is not an option for me; not ready for the little ankle-biters just yet.

Same here. Loved the pregnancy boobs. I'm a B sometimes a small C. I seriously considered getting boobie implants 2 years ago and husband was on board (ofcourse he would be!). He said all the right things - "i love them the way they are but if thats what you want" i swear i could see the twinkle in his eyes....bastard! it still crosses my mind that a full D would look fkn fantastic but that's usually after I've watched Dr Rey from Dr 90210 lol.

I flounced this everytime I've tried to read it as it's just gratuitous lemons and not enough plot for my taste. I was hoping the book would have toned this down slightly, but given that it's being touted as an erotic romance I doubt it.

I read it till the end because I'm not a flouncer but I totally agree.

how many days have you been doing it now? Today was day 2; I wanted to cry this morning when I got out of bed, every bone in my body was saying "don't listen to them, you DO NOT have to do it everyday and you definitely CAN NOT do it TODAY", but I did because, it would seem, I'm a 30DS flounce p ussy as well :'(

Good for you - I actually feel pretty good today - and made it up the stairs to my office without crying! I think doing it everyday ensures to stick to it, and your muscles stop hurting faster. Day 3 was the worst for me (after 2 workouts).

I started Sunday and today is Thursday here already so that's why I'm already on Day 5.

Halfway through Level 1! Yay me!!!

I might have as well, I just wondered if it's worth reading. :D

I've been reading so much FF, I was thinking of maybe reading a real book, but I don't want to ruin it by just reading a watered down FF.

I have now downloaded this.  I watched the vid and it does look deceptively easy.   Unfortunately,   :D I don't have any weights so I will need to buy some before commencing torture - I contemplated using two tins of beans but football took priority tonight!

I picture you lying on the coach, eating chips or chockies...watching the vid.

STOP MAKING EXCUSES!!!

You don't even need weights to feel the burn! I did it on Sunday without weights, and then dug out my 2kg weights on Monday, only to discover later that they're actually 3kg.

YOU CAN DO IT!

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

Look at me, being all motivational!

Float like a butterfly. Sting like a bee!

Life is not about how fast you run, or how high you can climb, but how well you bounce.

The early bird might get the worm, but it's the second mouse that gets the cheese.

Stop procrastinating...tomorrow.

Y'all are making me feel really guilty about not doing it as well.  I actually watched the whole 20 minutes and was concerned about similar things as Rickell.  Whiplash twice makes for a very unhappy neck.  I was trying to do situps the other day and just about died.  How is it I feel it in my neck and not in my abs??  Then there is the knee I popped out during an aerobics class that hasn't been the same since. So lunges are not always good.  I'm never sure if it will support me.  :(

Sucks getting old.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

But I really need to get into better shape.  ;)

Sit Ups 101

Look at the ceiling.
Lead with your chin.
Imagine pressing your belly button into the floor
Put your tongue against the roof of your mouth, the smooth part at the back - your soft palette.

OK.That makes me feel a bit better! I'm in so much pain right now I don't think I could cope if the scales remained static, scales movement is motivating even if you don't really need to lose all that much weight....

Yeah, I'm at the stage that if I never read another lemon ever again *shrug* I'm so over gratuitous lemons that aren't even written particularly well...We Still Linger Here had some nice lemons, but it's one in every ten fics that doesn't have me rolling my eyes in utter lemon boredom

I've spent the last 3 days googling before and after pics of 30DS and every time I work up the courage to try it I read how much you ladies are suffering in pain! You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginI even tried to get my sis on board but she tried the plank and it was all over red rover. I have a wedding to attend in 6 weeks and wouldn't mind being a little more toned. If you're going to go through hell at least you can do it with like-minded idiots!  That way we can all suffer together - talk about international relations!

Whaaa? That's 4 things....and I suppose you want me to do the situp too!

I'm not that co-ordinated! Shoot, I fell trying to get off a step ladder yesterday...this getting in shape is going to be tougher than I thought  ;D

No, really, I'll give it a try.  I used to do tons of those things when I was young and skinny...
