After seeing silverblossoms mentioned a few times in the past 2 days on here and another site I thought I'd try her stuff.  Uhm... huh?

I don't get the draw.  The first one to catch my eye was a tattooed and pierced Edward who owns a bike shop.  I thought  >:D but then I read the prologue.  hmmm... ok, I thought I'd read some more just really give this story a chance, but the writing was... I don't know how to explain it.  Unimaginative?  Anyway, I started skimming a few chapters, but had to flounce when I saw that Edward calls Bella "little girl."  Yeah, sorry, no thanks.

I go back to her profile to check out another story and see "Cullen's Lolita Crush" about a young billionaire and a young beauty.  I think "great!  should be no daddy kink type endearments here, because Edward's a young billionaire, right?  WRONG!  So Edward's young, but Bella's a f ucking teenager!!!  I'm talking 15 years old!!  :wtf: :sign0135:

Ok, I was worried it was just me! All these women on another board I'm on just rave about her, I've tried a couple of her fics, and just don't see it.  The writing felt very mundane and immature. Glad it's not just me.

Question for everyone here...

What kind of tablet do you guys have? Do you love it or was it just an ok buy?

My hubby won a Best Buy gift card through a work contest and we're thinking of getting one but I like to have people's thoughts/opinions on stuff like this.

Thank you  :-*

I've had Training the Swan on alert, honestly sometime I don't know how they get there..Anyway it completed today. I have not read it so I can't say if its good but it has an interesting premise

Author: ericastwilight PM
Edward is the retired right hand man for a mob boss, Charlie Swan. When asked to train a woman to help to protect herself and her daughter, he had no idea the trouble he'd find himself in. She's the boss's daughter. Can he keep his hands off?

I know!  It looks like she updated 7 chapters in a month and then just stopped.  She doesn't have any other wips.   :pulling

have you read this author's other story "Collared" that's actually complete?  I may just start it and hope for the best.

The Volturi Brothers have their hands in all things dark and sinful…drugs, crime and an intrical part of the BDSM community of Chicago. FBI Special Agent, Edward Masen and his partner Emmett McCarthy have put blood, sweat and a year of stake-outs to collar them to no avail. One poker game between directors of the FBI and DEA, throw Agent Masen and DEA Agent Isabella Swan into an undercover world of bondage, domination and submission. What happens when it uncovers the darkest desires that even they don't realize?

Seriously, it's the worst.  I need something good to read too because I've got another overnight tonight and I'm going to have some downtime.

Nope, I haven't read that one, but I flagged it for later. Thanks  :-*

The SoA fic....it's been one I was excited about from the get go but idk. Looks like the makings of an abandoned fic (either now or eventually) to me. Which sucks.

I have a Nexus 7, and I adore it. I can put multiple book apps on it, so I can read any type of book, including one app I can password protect to keep the kiddos out of the naughty files, I can check in places like here after hubby is asleep and not worry about waking him up, and it fits nicely in my purse, so it goes everywhere with me.  And mine also sleeps under my pillow with me every night.

It doesn't show great in sunlight? What's sunlight? I'm a reader not a outdoors girl.

See! Ha! Suck on it mother! My mother thought I was crazy because I slept with my iPad; Ok, so I did kinda refuse to move it off the pillow so that she could use it to prop herself up, but still!

I know this has been said before (thousands of times...) but I'm looking for fics with a dark, emotionally detached Edward. The difference is that I don't want a fragile, completelly broken Bella who will constantly try to "fix" him (does that make any sense?). Any recs?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab. I am pretty content with it, although I would prefer something maybe smaller...? It was a gift and I only use it to read books, though. I still can't see tha appeal tablets have... I always prefer spending my money on a good phone. Same apps, smaller size adn you get to text while at it :P

My phone (cherished like your tablets) and old kindle reside on my bedside table.

Best Buy- electronics stores. They carry all kinds of goody gadgets and appliances :)

Wow, BB doesn't have the Nexus? I thought they had all that stuff! I got mine at Staples. I got the 16 gb one. I kinda wish I had gotten the 32, but once I uploaded all my books to dropbox and google drive, I only have to keep a few books a time on the tablet itself, so I have plenty of room.

Too big as in weight or dimensions?

That's what I did the last time, skipped the tablet and went for the supped up phone (which I still love the shit out of....a year later).

I'm also trying to decide between a tablet or new laptop. I have an old school kindle that I read on so I'm not sure which would be a better buy. Sigh.

And I suppose I should check to see if my hubby wanted to get anything haha

When I first got my Kindle my son used to joke that if the Kindle and he were both about to fall off a cliff, I'd grab the Kindle and let him fall.

Of course that's not true, but they know how much I love my toys!

As in dimmensions. Then again, it is an "old" model, one of the first Samsung created. It was a gift and I never got too much into it. I get very attached to my staff, so every time I use the tablet, it feels like cheating on my Kiddle. :P
