I don't expect fanfiction to be Nobel prize winners, you know?

So I can let go a bit of grammar and spelling mistakes (as long as it is not too much). I actually have a bigger problem with plot twists.

Some fics are just ok, and I have no problem with it, writing fanfiction is a hobby to most people so I can't expect it to be perfect.

That doesn't mean I won't say some fics are just horrible.

I agree. I think writing fanfiction is a great way to start writing and you can have instant reaction of your readers via reviews. On the other side, I often get the feeling that the authors change the plot development just to please the reviewers. The last chapter had negative reactions because of too much angst, lets make the next chapter more fluffy.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. So to be fair, this is actually pretty well written.. until I got to chapter 17 and the lemon. This Edward has the WORST dirty talk ever. What woman wants to be told that her boobs wiggle? I just started laughing and couldn't read the rest. There's more lemons in the next couple of chapters and I cannot read that again!

The lemons were just too funny for me to continue. And i love my lemons! They were too soap-opera-y....

I was sitting there reading chapter 17 thinking... Who talks like this these days? I've never heard anyone say womb since sex ed in school...

Hey, funny coincidence:
I thought hard of the name of that one fic i couldn´t stand to finish to post it here and when I went searching for the author on PTS, I found it was already mentioned here.

I´ve read a lot, even long and repetitive but this story was just to boring and damn loooong...
However I flounced it after about a third in.

Anyone who liked the story? Was there something more to the plot towards the end?

PS: Hope you get my english as I´m not a native speaker

Haha I actually loved this story! I agree that there were some boring bits that were dragged out a bit too much but I think overall its a pretty good story

Though I am often told my taste in music is horrible... maybe my taste in fanfiction is the same?

No wonder that the fic has just 1 review... But consider that the author is a 13 year old girl. I usually don't start to read a fic with less than 1000 reviews, just to be on the safe side....

I never look after the reviews. I read fics with thousands of revs and couldn't stand them and I've read fics with only dozens and thought they were pretty good.

I never even look at reviews. I look at the blurb or whatnot, if it looks interesting, I'll read the first chapter. If it's decently written and seems interesting, I'll pull it down, if not, I forget about it.

I agree, number of reviews is not a guarantee for a good story. Which story with 150 reviews you mean? Please do share!

Now, I read this quite a long time ago but I really did enjoy it.

But....I love heartfail. And this has it and it's also a tragedy (it's not labelled as such, but it is, IMO). While I do like a strong, independent Bella, my favorite is the Bella that needs to be saved from something so this fic was right up my ally

CaraNo could write something of bad quality but people would read/review because it's her. I agree . I used to go by reviews in begining but i have flounced those fics with 10k+ reviews.Those story were not bad but there weren't extra ordinary either. They all were okay story cashing on fluffy drama & lemons.Its like if edward is jerk in story than he should be sweetward in next 2 chapters whether it make sense or not..If some supporting characater is evil than they should fawning over bella in next 2-3 chapters.those author write exactly what thier reader wants to read.

on the other hand by chance i stumble onto few stories who have hardly 700 or 150 or 500 reviews.You actually feel bad for these authors.

I am reading this fic. and i think i am just about to flounce this one as well.

I am sure you must have got idea of story from summary.yeah its all bella hiding edward's baby & bumping to him after few years.Seriously i feel like Secret & lies is only sensible story with this concept.

Apparently This story doesnt have strong plot for this drama. I mean Edward's mistake & bella's reason are not at all convincing.Right now i want to hit edward really badly. & its very contrast to what i am reading from review section of chapters.because people wants to hit bella & thinks she is being bitch for not taking edward with open arm.And I feel like this story is making it looklike Single mother with no extra privilege isnt capable of good upbringing for kids.SERIOUSLY
