One more fic I flounced recently: Sugar Daddy Needed by jess2002

Renee is cutting Bella off. Bella needs money and Edward has a lot of it, but Bella gets more than she expected. Can she handle it or will it be too much?

I got past the bad writing for the first few chapters, but the plot was just terrible

And that happens in the span of TWO days (meaning 5 chapters - in a 43 chapter story) I mean come on... I might have kept reading if the lemons were at least decent, but nope, they were also of the bad kind

Edit: I just re-read one chapter to make sure I wasn't too hard. I don't want to be mean, but it is actually worst than what I remember. This story is all over the place

I couldn't agree more. I thought it was just daft.

See what I mean? It's just immature writing, I think. Nothing wrong with her being able to throw a decent punch but when she is borderline MMA-fighter out of nowhere it's crazy

What the hell was that? I agree this type of fics looks tottaly immuture. specially when bella who cant walk on flat surface without stumbling or Rosaile & Alice who are all about thier nail , shoe,dress & look suddenly turn into femme fatale.

The other things bug me most is Friendship between Bella-rosaile-alice. Almost in every fic alice is nosy ,fashionista who constantly try to dress up bella & throw her wardrobe & become bossy about what to wear. I am personally more like cannon bella. I only wear clothes which make me comfortable so if someone like alice force herself into my closet i dont think i can keep up my frinedship with someone like her. same goes to rose. I dont care If rosaile is world most beautiful girl ever seen blah blah or i dont care if she means well by heart but only her tone is cold. If somone is bitch to me & show attitude i would throw her out my life before she can say what happen.

Oh, okay. I was just curious. I usually like to give a story a chance before I take a person's word for it. I know a lot of fics people disliked that I loved, but to each his own.

It all depends on the reason given.

I didnt go into much details with Chop and Change. Its been a while since i flounced it.
Obviously it is popular, she has many reviews.

I didnt flounce He Shoots,She-Scores. But i agree it was a bit silly. I would skim some parts. Roll my eyes in others. But it wasn't a fic that annoyed me like chop and change.

But chop and change was just ridiculous.

I thought it was just me! fanfics made me hate Alice and Rosalie.

It feels sometimes like they write certain scenes so they can fit in these lines, which is kinda *cough* stupid *cough* and it's doesn't add anything to the story.

Exactly! It's annoying sometimes. Rose always does something with cars and everybody is always stunned that such a beautiful woman knows cars *rolleyes*...

I really hate that, especially as she always seems to be paired with a cocky Edward that smirks all over the place. Another thing I can't stand is a constantly insecure Bella - why does she always have to be portrayed as a weak-willed, plain little girl? Reading a fic that's essentially full of negative body-image messages isn't my cup of tea!

Yes! In the Twilight books, I get Bella. I don't particularly like her, but I can forgive her a lot, because she is just a teenager. With 17, you're allowed to be insecure about yourself and your body, you're allowed to think you know everything and your future is mapped out without glitches...

But in lots of fanfics, she doesn't grow up or mature... that's a shame, there is so much potential in that character, just because her personality has so much possibilities to grow...

Another thing that makes me cringe?

"our lips crashed together..."

...wonder how many dentists earn a secret fortune from fanfic characters because they loose teeth kissing...

That is the importance of the "why". Someone says "I flounced because it was too fluffy for me. There was no angst." At least 3 ladies I know of on this forum won't touch it. They love the angst. However, I love fluff, so I will probably check it out unless there is something else they complained about that would make me run .... (can anyone say daddykink unless they are making fun of it?)

So even though it seems like we are flouncing a fic on someone's review? There are some who will read it just for the reason the others flounced.

Bingo.Sudden transformation in personality is hell annoying.I remember that was 1 of main reason i flounced "Million Dollar baby." Characters of alice,rose,esme are so canon & cheesy in most fics that when they are uncanon or written with grey shades in story is always refreshing to read.

The most stupid and boring story I ever read. About 100 chapters only about f.cking. No plot at all. There is some drama (C and Es are dead but we don't know for sure because they didn't find the bodies) but the drama was only created so that Ed and B could f.ck. And don't you dare write comment about what you didn't like. Someone wrote and they wrote a long A/N about it, bashing this person. Oh and its' drabble and they update every few days or weeks so those who read have to beg for new chapter because authors loves reviews.

This would be a good fic if it had half the chapters in it.
Not to mention double point of views. we get edwards version of what is going on and then bellas.
sometimes they have some different things in it, that the other wasnt present for it. but still, double accounts of the same facts is tiring.

i skipped about 15 chapters of it and it didnt make any difference. and then by the end i just read it because i was pissed off i already lost so much time with it i wanted to know the end. i stil skimmed a lot.
