I saw this had completed today, had no idea it was so long though! What chapters do you think are essential to read to understand the story and which are skip-able?

lol. i have no idea. i skipped and skimmed so much. They go to alaska on a retreat at the begining, i skipped the whole thing. later on we find out what happened there cause they keep retelling everything.

It all depends on the reason given.

I didnt go into much details with Chop and Change. Its been a while since i flounced it.
Obviously it is popular, she has many reviews.

I didnt flounce He Shoots,She-Scores. But i agree it was a bit silly. I would skim some parts. Roll my eyes in others. But it wasn't a fic that annoyed me like chop and change.

But chop and change was just ridiculous.

The most stupid and boring story I ever read. About 100 chapters only about f.cking. No plot at all. There is some drama (C and Es are dead but we don't know for sure because they didn't find the bodies) but the drama was only created so that Ed and B could f.ck. And don't you dare write comment about what you didn't like. Someone wrote and they wrote a long A/N about it, bashing this person. Oh and its' drabble and they update every few days or weeks so those who read have to beg for new chapter because authors loves reviews.

It was a good story but a few chapters ago she had to write about her personal life and she changed the story completely. Unnecessary drama. It's ff and we don't need to read about your husband who couldn't keep his ... in his pants and has a few kids with different women and he doesn't know about them when he is dating with you. Of course don't you dare write that you don't like this idea.

Pron without plot??? If that's stated at the beginning of the fic I can deal because I know what I'll be getting in to.

I have a hard time reading stories by jess2002, I have read some some of her stories. But she mostly writes about a controlling, possessive, abusive Edward & a weak Bella. I like reading possessiveward stories, but I don't really like reading controlling & abusive Edward, even if the stories have a HEA. I have a hard time reading stories where Edward is abusive & Bella doesn't have a back bone. Oh & the misspelled words make the stories harder to get into as well.

I heard lot about this fic before but recently in other thread some one mentioned it so tried.Needless to say after 4 chapter i flounced it. infact if you read in 1st paragraph of second chapter ,You can easily say that writing of this story is completely immuture & stupid & unrealisitcs. Characters are so unnatural that i dont have words.

P.S:- its has 88 somthing chapter, after reading 4 chapter i wanted kill someone I dont know how can anyone read 88 chapter of this mindless story.I guess others can read since it has like 10 k reviews.

P.P.S:- bella having edward's baby & than their reunion after years kind of stories are always cringeworthy. Hardly any author does justice to concept.anything close to perfect i have read is Secret & lies. even SAL has some flaw still it is well-develop story.

I know what you're talking about. I read it when it was a WIP fic & after a few chapters, I started skimming through it to finish it, because after a while it started dragging on & it couldn't keep my attention.

I'm going with anything written by mamasutra. Don't get me wrong I don't think that she is a terrible writer , however, all she writes about is cheating and it's mostly Edward ALWAYS cheating on Bella. I actually wrote her a message because she recently wrote a story that was flagged edward&bella edward&leah. Of course Edward is cheating on Bella with Leah (which btw makes my stomach roll but to each it's own). I asked her to please mark a story Edward & Leah, so I know to stay away from it. I personally just took her off my alerts because honestly I don't mind a cheating story. But really that's all she writes. And after a while how many stories can a person really read about cheating from the same author it's like all the same.

I admit, I like mamasutra stories. But, I do get what you're saying tho. I get tired of reading cheaterward stories after awhile. & I prefer HEA for Edward & Bella being together, not with other people.

I think mamsutra writes extremely well. That said, I find her stories depressing & I won't read anymore.

I need an HEA. Also I really hate cheating stories.

i don't like cheating stories...too bad that's what mamasutra's stories seem to be all about

Sorry, pains me to do this bec i know it takes guts and talent to write, but i really didn't like this one by rosie rathbone. Trying to be too humorous but you don't connect with the characters... Good thing it was a short read so i still finished it

Same for The Devil Wears Armani by addicted to romione bedward, really didn't like how Edward was characterized, the dialogues were bleh, couldn't connect with any of them, this is a true flounced one for me as i only read a few chapters before stopping

I read this back when I first was reading Actorward and thought it was amusing. I tried to reread it recently & couldn't figure out why I had liked it.

I thought it would be like Words with Friends but the writing bet those 2 authors are MILES apart... That's why i tried to read it bec i was hoping it would be another enjoyable experience like WWF...was sadly mistaken

I think the idea was good and it probably is fixable. But mostly the writing is somewhat juvenile to me. Alice and Bella sound like young teenagers, though I think they are supposed older, at least over 18.

Story I flounced hard:
Emancipation Proclamation (it was just sooooo long as a WIP and then it moved from ffnet and I had to find it and subscribe to
yet another site in order to get updates). It seemed like a great story and bravo to the author for all the hard
work. Maybe I’ll find some inner strength one day and I’ll be able to finish it (or I'll get a volunteer to read it to me in
the nursing home).

Story I wanted to flounce, but decided to suck it up & see if it got better (kind of like my commitment to watching all 15 seasons of ER):
Coloring Outside the Lines by WinndSinger. It’s the sequel to Red Line. I LOVED Red Line so much and I really
wanted to love the sequel, but it just didn’t happen. The writing was great and there were touching moments that
made me cry, but I found myself skimming through many of the chapters.

Story I’m about to flounce:
Bases Loaded by JessAndTAT because I just can’t take it anymore.
Summary: Spending summer vacation traveling with the St. Louis Cardinals isn't every teen girl’s idea of fun. What
happens when the teen daughter of the team doc falls for one of the players? Can they find love or will life get in the
way? AH/Cannon and Non-Cannon pairings/Rated M

don't usually go for stories like this, but once I started reading I couldn’t stop.

Ok, I didn't really read any of the actual story, so I don't know if it counts as a flounced fic, but that little detail was all I needed to know. I love non-canon (in the SM way) vampires as much as the next person, but some things are just way over the top.

See, this is disappointing me. It looked like such a good storyline & I was waiting for it to complete. But I normally don't do "daddyward" fics. Though Olderward and Edward who is a daddy are fine. If you know what I mean .

And her dad is the coach?? Yeah, weird.

Sometimes I really think these writers who do the funky/kinky stuff are just jumping on the "bandwagon" - Oh, MOTU got published, maybe if I add some kinky stuff here, it will work for me too! But no experience or research is done. And it doesn't fit into the story at all. *shakes head* Sorry, this is my one pet peeve about twific.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good lemon. But really? It's the UST that will keep me reading. Of course, after the UST, the lemon should be hot

EP was a good story, but tooo long. I recommend you to read the published version, it was well edited and much shorter.
Coloring Outside the Lines - I loved Red line, but the sequel was a disappointment for me,I don't know why, maybe the different location, missing some characters. maybe I simply don't like "Cowboyward".
