Ok folks, list em here. Fics that you have flounced, and why you flounced them. Help keep others apprised of the good, the bad, and the badly edited. :-*

It's just difficult for me to think about MotU without a bitter-sweet taste because it just reminds me of my friend Just4ALE who passed away almost a year ago...

Difficult to believe it has been almost a year.  Thank you for the reminder.  Just4ALE is sorely missed.

It's my week for coming across terrible fics.  I have just read a bit of Isabella Swan: Submissive by kitties1ffn.  This Bella must have at least a dozen inner voices, all of which are nuts and her Dom Edward, is part hysterical.    -

"Wrapping his arms around my upper body, he squeezes me to the point of pain. He clings to me so desperately, that I can scarcely breathe. When he grabs handfuls of my hair and yanks my head back, I wince as he swirls his tongue inside my mouth.

“OUCH!” Stalker harpy hisses out, “That bitch is gonna hurt!”

“What do you mean ‘gonna?” I ask. “It ‘does’ bloody well hurt! How the hell am I going to get these tangles out?”

Yep, my harpies are in extra perceptive mode today, or so it would seem. Glowering at me, she sticks her middle finger up at me and stomps off inside of the tent, zipping it up behind her."

  Oh deary me  :P :P :P
How very un-Dom-like of him.  So she's a crappy sub and he's a wimpy dom.  Sounds to me like the harpy is the dom....

This is mostly why I avoid these types of stories.  Frankly, I doubt many of these writers have ever been in one of these relationships.  But I might read it for the humor..... :D :D :D :D :D

Same here, adding that to my mental do NOT read file. Not that I would have anyway, I don't love the BDSM style stories anyway. Fifty/MotU was about as far as it goes for me.
LOL! She doesn't sound very submissive.  Though I'm with you on the BDSM.  Not that MoTU really was after you got past the break-up.

Her passing was very sad she was a lovely woman and a good author.

Actually I do know of some FF authors who are in BDSM relationships and write about them but I agree most BDSM stories are horrible.  One of the best BDSM stories I have read is Human Sexuality 101 by the talented rbsschess You are not allowed to view links. I think the only BDSM fic that I have read was The Submissive...as a wip. While I loved it, I think I got my fill of that genre with that one lol

Yes, there's Daria Chenowith (sp?) - but I haven't read any of her stuff other than bits and pieces.   It's not really my thing.  But I understand she's one of the better ones if you do like the genre.  ;)

I don't particularly enjoy BDSM stories (I thought The Training Trilogy was boring to death, but it's just me), yet ironically I'm currently translating People like us, the longest fan fiction ever written on the subject, and I'm having the time of my life! Then again it has nothing to do with what has been said about Isabelle Swan, Submissive. I would not want to translate that one even if I got paid to do so...

Daria is a sub and writes very well but her fics are a little too harsh for my tastes, as are luvrofink's who is a Domme.  I like my BDSM soft and romantic.   ;)

I did enjoy People like us but it's main focus is the love story which makes all the difference I think.

Exactly, it's about the love between Bella and Edward, and there's also a lot of fluff in it, which makes me smile at every corner. I think it's a well balanced story ^^

LOL! I prefer no BDSM myself.  Okay some B can be fun.  So I only read bits and pieces of "BDSM" stories.  I can see how they are hot, sex-wise, but as a full story? It annoys me to see people in such unequal relationships.  Though I guess all relationships are unequal in some ways....

Same here. Didn't know luvrofink was a domme. Huh.

I wonder how they even liked twilight in the first place.... It seems so distant fom what they want in relationships.

I love a good BDSM or D/s story, but Daria's Heartbreak Remedy (?) became my first flounce. While I thought it was written well enough, it just had too many lemons. Perhaps as a WIP it would have worked, but reading it straight through was too much for me. Now that I've advanced to the ability to skim lemons, I may go back and give it another shot.

I haven't heard of People Like Us. Are you talking about the one by justginger?

Yes.  It is an Actorward so I started it.  But as I don't really do the BDSM stuff, it was a bit of a turn off for me.  They do performance stuff.  Naked in front of others? Having sex while others watch? Yuk.  The rest of the story may be good, but I would really need to skim. A lot!

And? This is probably weird, but I could maybe read it if it weren't Edward and Bella.  As a published fic where I don't have an attachment to the characters? It might be better....

No they don't have sex in front of other, I ought to know since I'm translating it ^^

That makes sense to me--especially since I've read very few good twifics of that genre. Most of the twifics seem to actually deal with something outside of BDSM erotica. Like TheSpoiltOne's The Training School--not a BDSM fic in the way that Roquelaure's Sleeping Beauty series was not. I hate it when non-consensual situations claim to be BDSM. By definition, they're not. But back to your point, though I would love to find a good D/s with E&B, I can see how it might be nice to leave them in their little canon cocoon.

I didn't like either of these stories (The traning school and the Sleeping beauty trilogy) because I hate when all the characters are sleeping with each others without true feelings and when they are just having sex for the sake of it. At least in the Training school I was a little attached to Bella and Edward, but I was tired of the Sleeping Beauty trilogy way before the end...
