Too funny... my particular favourite is when authors mix-up "wanton" and "wonton." The former is defined my Merriam-Webster as "1 a archaic : hard to control : undisciplined , unruly b : playfully mean or cruel : mischievous" and the latter is a pork/prawn stuffed dumpling which is extremely popular here in Asia. ""You are wonton" he breathed" has implications I don't even want to think about!

This one always cracks me up when I see it! I am feeling like a pork filled dumpling when I see you!

Yup, always brings out my appetite. Just not the one the author wants. I do love wontons

Because the first half of the book was pretty good I stuck with Mates For Eternity by xxLuAshxx, when I should have flounced. It was bad. One of those books where every few pages, the reader rushes into some new drama and you wonder, again, why you are continuing to read this story. The fic also had A/Ns in the middle of the text, which drives me nuts. On the positive side, the SPaGs were minimal and the writing was fair. The plot itself was just bad. I love a possessive Edward, which is why I read it, but that doesn't make a plot, it's an element of a character. In this case, it was supposed to be the blanket that kept all the multiple threads together. It didn't work for me. It had 1,000+ faves so maybe it was just me...

Lol, why didn't I think that after the year I've had.
Just go sit in the meadow by the stream down from our house and I'd be cured!!
Might do that next time something bad happens - I'll let you all know how it works out.

Let's see. There are 2 off the top of my head. One was a fic is/was a Post Breaking Dawn fic where Renesmee was killed off in chapter 3 or 4. All I remember was that and that the whole coven was crushed emotionally. I was too. I don't even remember the title. It shook me pretty hard back then and it still does today.

The second one of note is "Because of a Boy" by cutekidsmom. I flounced it because I felt that she was getting a bit too personal with it. First let me say that I understand that with every story we write, we inejct a bit of ourselves in them. I know I am certainly guilty of this at least. I also know that she has an autistic little boy, so I guess for her it's a bit of a cathartic release of sorts. But I felt she is/was thumbing her nose at people a bit too much, i.e. trying to get back at people who, I think, might have slighted her or her son.

I am disabled as well and while I'm not autistic or in the spectrum; and while I understand that everyone's experience is different, I feel she's trying to dumb down or be dismissive of her child's struggles. I know many people with varying disabilities and we all know we're different, whether others recognize it or not. In a way, it's good that she sees her son that way or believes he can be the way Seb is depicted in the story. But there's just something that makes me feel wrong about it. It's just hard to explain.

You can - but go to the mobile site. I found out that you can copy on the mobile site, just not on the regular site. Next to the Imagination there is a little rectangle - click on that and you will get the mobile version.

But I do understand what you mean. I have to be in the mood for some of this. And lately, I've just been rereading things. The way RL is going, I don't have time to sit and read anything. So rereading and short stories are good.

Is this the one where they start throwing ridiculous amounts of money at Bella? I flounced it, too. I find savannavansmutsmut has awesome plots, but sometimes I just can't handle the writing, or how everything goes from shite to sunshine and rainbows in the blink of an eye.

In this one Bella has amnesia, but as soon as Edward say she was his gf she remembers everything!
I flounced before they start giving her money, not sure about it.
