It's pissing because that damn fic can't have more than about 4-5 chapters left to it!! Well, that and because it was one of only a handful of fics that caught me out before my total WIP ban.See? That is why she's my David Koresh! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
OMG, I'd completely forgot about TUIB, that is such a good fic it's really a shame she never finished it.And don't even get me started on A Taste of Honey or Hot Bubblegum by Soapy Mayhem.
David Koresh, really? OK then ......
Absolutely. I've even been enticing KimKim to drink the koolaid, little by little; a sip of Dusty, a taste of Slippin and I think I might have cracked it....*whispers* How else do you account for the fact that she's now an angthoor and doesn't even know it.
Ella - there is no really good reason for you to go to the Twilighted forums. Except for the Find A Fic forum and my thread Do We Know Where This Story Went in the Other Forum (the reason it ended up in Other is because at the time I was only planning on keeping track of Rob fics. That didn't last long - I ended up doing all the categories), the forums are basically dead. The fanfic section seems to have developed some life however in the past two or three months between new fics and old fics that are starting to update again.
I had quit looking at Twilighted for a long time because it seemed primarily geared towards Jacob and wolf pack fans, neither of which grab me. I know there are other stories there. But at the time, I only had the standalone FFDL and most of the stories were also available on ffnet. Now with calibre and ffdl plugin, I'm hitting it more.
I have never managed to get on with Twilighted and rarely use it.
I never associate Yellowglue with anything fluffy, might just be me though. Let us know how your friend gets on with Pennyward. Just thinking about him makes me want to re-read the FaN again.
Funny you should say that because neither do I, but I think KimKim might mean her lyrical, poetical style... I wouldn't say YellowGlue is Twific 101, but sometimes its good to throw someone in the deep end and see how they stay afloat!
I am sure you are correct personally I find Yellowglues style rather challenging because it always demands deeper thought. I admit when she liked my interpretation of her words I felt all proud and clever like.
Yep, Demaris is right... I probably should have used a better word! I just meant fluffy as in bee-yoo-tee-ful! Like I could just read her chapters over and over because her words are just so pretty! And yes, this exactly... I like that her writing requires deeper thought. She's amazing! What are you slippin' me next! I need a fix in a major way. Nothing is affecting me like Dusty/Slippin... I'm just kinda "meh" about my reads since then. I usually like just about everything I read, but since reading Yellowglue I've been giving out the 3 star ratings like they're going out of style. Please tell me you have something else "lyrical and poetical" up your sleeve that I can drool over. Oh and thanks to everybody that suggested Fridays at Noon! I had already sent her Deviant by Planetblue but I sent Fridays At Noon too and told her to pick which one she wanted to read. If you guys haven't read Deviant you should ASAP. Seems like it's a hidden gem that doesn't get talked about as much as some of the others. I thought it was every bit as good as FaN, WWF and all those... and a nice length (*snicker*) too.
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! A May to December Romance is not complete and I doubt it ever will be - another author that got us hooked with regular updates and then abandoned us.
I wish A May to December Romance would be finished.

Hi ladies! I'm glad to be back, but unfortunately there's not enough time to catch up and read everything you wrote in my absence. I'm reading Abbracciare Il Cantante by bratty-vamp at the moment. Very old fic...vampward... I like it a lot. Or I would recommend Edward Cullen, Dick For Hire. One of my first fics and still one of my absolute all-time-favorites. Edward is such an ass, but at the same time so hot and adorable. It's pulled, but in the Index under FL95 aka FictionLover95.Though F@N is also a really good beginner fic, imho.I wouldn't recommend YellowGlue to be honest. I said it before: for me YellowGlue is more a poet than a novelist. Totally great writing, but hard to digest. Maybe it's my not being native English speaker though. But if I imagine reading YellowGlue in the very beginning...I think I would have stepped away from fanfiction.Same goes for goldenmeadow...excellent and poetic writing...beautiful words, but maybe for later when someone is hooked anyway. I read the whole Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout lately and absolutely loved it! Any fans here? I'm looking forward to August when the next book comes out! At first, I needed to get a little used to read about aliens, because I had no idea what those books were about, but I was hooked very fast. And another great series ended these days: The Rough Riders by Lorelei James. Any fans here either? It's about a huge family of cowboys - though not all of them are cowboys - rodeos and each book is another love story. I devoured every book and I plan a complete re-read when I'm through. I'm still saving books 14-16 for bad times when nothing can hold my interest. Lorelei never disappointed me so far.I'm sure there are a ton of SPAG errors in my post. Sorry for that. I'm a little out of practice.
I have Abbracciare Il Cantante and Dick for Hire...will try to move it up my list...not feeling like reading fanfic just right now though.Haven't read any YellowGlue (don't shoot me Demaris!), am afraid to But the comments that their writing is "lyrical", "like poetry", "hard to digest", the more am inclined to pass I used to love reading espionage books Forsythe, Ludlum, et al but it made me think too hard. so i stopped and just stuck with romance, fluff reads where am not required to think too much, but feel. That is wonderful escapism for me. I started Lux series but realized it's not "complete" so i stopped am waiting for it to finish before i read it.Have read a few of those rough riders and remember enjoying it, *sigh* off to add a few more books to my ever growing library
I suppose this goes without saying,, but I havent' read her or many other well known authors or stories.
