I personally think you should let us take turns voting on what you should read next! LOL That would be much more exciting than "read by date added" or alphabetical order, for sure!
I somehow think that Mrs F wouldn't let me vote on what she reads next as she doesn't trust me.
I've somehow managed to keep my TBRfic list to <50. I try not to add something new until I've read something to take off the list. Now, my "real book" TBR list is totally out of control... well, for me anyway. I think it's in the 600's which is way too high! I know some of you guys have lists in the 1000's, right?
The last time I counted my "real book" TBR it was at around 20,000 and my fic TBR was around about 5000!!!I really need to stop buying books and start reading them. :PThat was right by my head, I screamed in the hubby's face and his reply was that he hadn't heard me scream like that at the sight of his c*ck since the first time I saw it.
Look who was in bed while me and the hubby while we were trying to have a quickie this morning:Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents. All I can say is that I've had enough 3-somes in my time to know that this would not be a fun one.
i assume you mean I give you 3 or so options from my TBR and you ladies pick one, right? Not you ladies pick random fiction out of the ether for me to read? Because that would never work.....Its a interesting idea I've now started The Sea House by Elisabeth Gifford, once I've read that I'll give it a go.I've just had a look at my Calibre library, I've got 2000 (hey! They're free!) Twifics waiting to be read but thankfully only ( ) 429 books. Kimkim if you come across a fic or book you haven't read what do you do? just ignore it or....
When I went to pick my daughter up from college in the spring, the room we had in one of the motels we stayed in had beg bugs! I didn't figure it out until late, late at night (they're nocturnal, you know). Plus, the motel was full. She was already asleep, so I didn't wake her up so she could get a good night's rest. I knew I wouldn't and one of had to be able to drive. I reported it when we checked out the next day and got the room for free. I would have preferred a bug-free room. Luckily, we did not bring any of the critters home. I still get the heebie-jeebs just thinking about it.
I was in the Peace Corps and lived in a thatch roof hut/one room house for 2 years in South America, so I got my fair share of creepy crawlies in the house. Luckily I slept with a large mosquito net draped around my bed, and tucked under my mattress so they didn't often get into bed with me. The villagers would put their mattresses out in the sun to kill any bed bugs that might be living in them. I thought I had scabies once, but it turned out to be a bad allergic reaction on my hands. Now that I am living in the city though, I don't expect to see them in my apartment.
They say you swallow about 8 spiders a year.
Wait, what?! How?! I've heard of accidentally swallowing flies while you are speaking but spiders?!Oh, man! now i am in bed, looking at my ceiling and thinking maybe while sleeping, with my mouth wide open bec i snore, maybe those critters do fall in! is that why we sometimes have dry throat when we wake up (well, aside from all the drool you let loose through the night) Yeah, am glad my family loves me or they would have left me a long time ago with my fat ass snoring!
I had a bug in my bed a few months ago. FREAKED ME THE HELL OUT! I had my hand under the pillow and felt something crawling on me. I quickly pulled my hand out and then proceeded to have my hubby help me strip the bed looking for the offender. Didn't find it, so I can't confirm it was a spider, but the hubby thinks it was because he had found a few around the house. I had a very hard time getting to sleep that night.
Makes for a good scare to tell the kids. Don't sleep with your mouth open or you'll swallow spiders. Lol
You're giving me nightmares. Sleeping with my mouth closed is impossible!!
Another thing that drives me nuts...is when after all this fan abuse, P2P fanfare...the author leaves one chapter up so they can keep their fanfic reviews. IMO, if the story that received the reviews is gone, you shouldn't be allowed to leave the reviews. I periodically check my favorites list and remove them from my FFN favorites so anyone who looks at the list won't be disappointed. Try this sometime on FFN - using the browse function, go to the Twilight stories and sort by reviews, then see how many of the stories with the most reviews only have one, maybe two chapters. I understand the authors want to be able to see their reviews, but it isn't fair to people who see a story they'd like to read, only to find that all that's there is a placeholder. I am surprised the "fan Fic police" haven't caught on to this, I guess they only like to read smut.
I was thinking more along the lines of you give us 10 to choose from and then we pick one. I've not heard of The Sea House, keep us posted!
I'm not sure its because they want to see their reviews; are these mainly stories with a lot of reviewers? If they get a publishing deal being able to show you have an established fan-base would help with negotiations, if they're self-publishing then you have captured reader details that you can use in marketing.

Apparently once a week you're supposed to leave your bed unmade with sunlight shining on it so that it will kill all the bed bugs. I think it just gives kids an excuse not to make their bed.
For a minute there, i thought junior would make an appearance! Be still my beating heart!!
