Thank you so much.  But damn this one I cant download at work.  Damn   :P  nevermind my over tired over stressed brain was not functioning. Got it.  Thank you again Ella  :-*  :-*
Have you tried running the portable version of Calibre?  They have a version that will run off a USB stick.  I tried it once just to see how it works.  Once it is set up, you can plug it into any computer and run.  Well, any computer that will recognize the stick.  My work one doesn't unfortunately.  Totally locked down.  Hence my use of another computer during the day.  Helps that I mostly work at home. ;)

Okay, that web version one is being really slow.  Have you tried You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I tested it on the same story.  Still waiting on the FFDL appspot, but the ficsave downloaded right away.  It will send to your kindle as well.

I am not receiving the items on my Kindle.

I use the FFDL on my computer, then email the FF to my kindle... Probably the LONG way to do things, but it works  :)
I have never used the web version... sorry, I'm no help.

Now I'm going to continue read Age of Consent and see if this Edward gets any less creepy as Bella gets older.  :o.
I didn't think Edward was creepy in AoC at all.
But what do I know.  :D :D
Me and Best Gay were talking about Little Black Book (Little Black Book #1) by Tabatha Vargo & Melissa Andrea and I was saying how much I FLOVE Sebastian Black and his dirty mouth, but the BG thought Sebastian was just offensive.
I can't be the only person that thinks when Sebastian says things like this that it's HOT:
"I licked it so it's mine"

I wish the hubby would talk dirty to me more often but the most I get at the moment is: "FIRE IN THE HOLE!!" :D :D

I'm lazy and so I plug it in to the computer and just transfer the stories using Calibre. Highlight all the stories on my TBR list and click on the send to device.  If I'm feeling really energetic, I run the Kindle category plugin.  Though half have the category "fanfic"  :D :D :D :D

My Calibre has never been able to send to my Kindle app...I set it up that way but it just never worked so I send stuff to iBooks which syncs with Calibre via wifi using iTunes perfectly.

I don't know about noob - plugging it in seems very old school to me.  Wifi is much newer technology.  So in some ways I'm behind the time.   :P

But it just seems faster and I'm too impatient to wait for Amazon LOL!  :D :D :D :D

You can actually sync the epubs to the iTunes app through Calibre and then when you plug in your iPad it will sync the books into iBooks.  Or so it says.  I haven't tried it yet since I just got an iPad.  It doesn't sync with my Android tablet that way.

The Kindle collection feature only works with the basic Kindle model and the DX.  It should work with the older keyboard models as well.  The touch doesn't work with Calibre, at least not with the collections. It will recognize the Touch and transfer books, but they are just a big mass of stories if you do it that way.

You have to send it to the Kindle apps email address via Amazon.  I've done it with my Android and my iPhone.  It can be slow though.

I have tried that but I keep getting an error.  Does it have to be done thru wifi only??

I use a Nexus tablet and Moon + Reader Pro, and I can sync and fetch books from Calibre on my laptop with Moon +, super easy, and they are tagged with any tags I use in Calibre. I just have to have wifi and my laptop running.

Depends I guess.  My old Kindle was 3G, so I could send them.  But I think Amazon may charge for the service.  If you have an iPad though, it should load however you get data.  My iPhone could get it on the go as long as I had a data signal.  (a strong enough signal that is)  It's the same as downloading a book from Amazon.

Truthfully, it's been so long since i've done it.  I have an Android phone now and rarely read stuff through the Kindle app on it.  I will either read directly from the website or put it on my e-ink Kindle that goes everywhere with me.

LOL! I think that is what I was saying to do.  I'm so confused now.

Are you emailing from Calibre? Or just from web apps like ficsave?  If you don't have access to a computer running Calibre, even if it is only from a thumb drive, they whole conversation probably was worthless for you.  I think the side conversations got confusing  ;)

If it is still on the Web i use ficsave or FFDL web verison.  If it is pulled and in PDF  i send thru my email to my kindle email address with CONVERT in the subject.
